Honoring Our Veterans

Did You Know?

Veterans Day was originally known as Armistice Day and was meant to mark the end of WWI (November 11, 1918) and to honor those who served in the war. Later, the holiday's intent was extended to honor the U.S. veterans of all wars. The date was moved to a standardized Monday like many of our other holidays. In 1975, President Gerald Ford signed legislation to make November 11th the official date for the observance.

At FYIN, we are proud to have several veterans on our team. Jason, our seasoned Software Development Lead, served in the Navy. Two of our newer team members also served: Rachel, a Business Analyst, proudly served in the Army and Mike, a Senior Technical Writer, traveled the world over the course of 20 years in the Air Force. Other team members have spouses, siblings, and other family members who served.

On this Veterans Day, we join together as a team and honor all who have served and those who continue to serve our nation.
